The London Swingfonia is a great big band showcasing the effortless talent of Harry Martin, our world-class vocalist.

We play many of the swing vocal classics like The Lady is a Tramp, Call Me Irresponsible, I've Got You Under My Skin, Almost Like Being in Love, Fly Me to the Moon, Come Fly With Me, New York New York and the like. We also play some fast instrumentals like Flying Home and One a Clock Jump to really get everyone on their feet.

We’re all decked out in our snazzy white tuxes and ready to show you a good time!

biog

No one can quite remember when the London Swingfonia was born, but it must be getting on for a decade or so. The brainchild of long-standing former bandleader, Chris Murray and original member, trumpet player Clem Schiphorst, it neatly filled a gap in the London music scene.

Our usual format is: Harry Martin, our superb vocalist; 5 saxophones, 2 tenors, 2 altos and baritone; 4 trombones; 4 trumpets and a rhythm section of drums, double bass, guitar and keyboards.
